Bloggers Around The World: Kanndiss Riley
Back with another BATW interview! Every time I have released a new interview, I am beyond excited to do it. Of course before I share them, I read as much as possible from each blogger and then start all the way from the beginning of their blogs.
I don't want to sound biased... but this is one of my top favorites right now! You will understand why the more you read in the interview.
Kanndiss Riley has an amazing blog/food magazine! (Yeah you read that right... see where we are gong here?) When I began reading her magazine on the website, looking at the photos and dishes she made literally made me create a shopping and list and try out some of her recipes! (That will come in a separate blog post!)
What blew me away the most was when I realized that Kanndiss also has an app for her magazine as well! Okay, you all get where this is going, so lets cut the introduction short. I now introduce to you all Kanndiss Riley of Riley's Cuisine!
I don’t want to hold everyone up much here… Kanndiss can you formally introduce yourself to everyone and add some things that I may have missed?
Hello I'm Kanndiss Riley third year student at University for the creative arts Farnham; I established Riley's Cuisine Magazine in my second year at university and have been building it up ever since. Its now become a company with a flourishing audience across magazine, website, blog, Instagram and YouTube.
How long have you been a blogger and how did you get into blogging?
Honestly I've been blogging since I was in primary school. However it started becoming a serious tool in secondary school to develop my literacy skills. I loved writing but I was poor with grammar and keeping my thought processes concise and coherent.
Do you have a favorite blogger(s) that you gain inspiration from on a daily basis?
As a Chef myself I looked at your blog posts and started making grocery lists! What is your favorite cuisine(s) to cook, and to eat?
My favourite food is Chinese but I actually love baking. It's my main hobby I enjoy baking because i always have the basic ingredients in the fridge and cupboards but the rest is always a gamble and its great when it tastes great.
Being a Travel and Food Journalist could you list your top 5 favorite restaurants that you have experienced so far? (Bonus points if you tell us the meals and have photos of them!)
What type of role do you see blogging playing in your life now and in the near future?
Digital content is what I love producing but blogging is my outlet for talking about things I love, places I go and things I do. I guess I will always blog.
Are there any places in the world that you have never visited and have on your travel list?
So many I keep a list on my phone of must see places; Instagram is by default the main place where I find new interesting places to go. Top 3 Australia, North America and Paris.
What do you expect for readers to take away from reading your blog?
A something different, I cook recipes everyone may have eaten or seen but I change it up either to make it less expensive, less complicated I.e. finding ingredients that very specific or just simpler less is more.
Do you have any blogging plans/events planned for the year that you can share with us?
I'm planning to go to the North America and Australia for the big move/life experience. At this moment in time it's a lot of planning and saving up in order. I want to go to these places to experience the culture, cook food, studying and establish my brand.
What are your social media accounts that everyone can follow you on?
If you could leave people with one lasting impression/piece of advice (before they go to read your blog of course) what would it be?
"My soul is not contained within the limits of my body; my body is contained within the limitlessness of my soul"
This is so pivotal there so many things this is saying understand it's as you wish. Life is for living.
