#WeekendCoffeeShare: I'm Going Back Home!

I'm pretty excited to finally travel back home to Denver on Sunday for the first time in quite awhile. Last time I traveled there was Spring of 2015. While that may seem like an exaggeration, I don't think it was long enough for me. This time around, I am able to visit on my own terms and on my own schedule. No need to report back at a specific time for work... I can take my work with me.

During this trip I will be able to somewhat take a vacation and re-familiarize myself with what was once home for me during my college years. Other than re-connecting with a few college friends, I'm looking forward to exploring the new restaurants that have opened since I left such a as Cho77, (insert more restaurants.)

This is also a test run for me as I will be hitting the road via greyhound to adjust with working and traveling. My goal is to get a firm grasp on how I can personally take on the tasks of working while traveling efficiently. Although it might sound easy, that definitely will not be the case. There may be times when I lose Wi-if service temporarily (or all together). How will I manage my time on a bus or plane from relaxing and enjoying the view, plus staying focused enough mentally to not get sidetracked?

Another important (very important) purpose of this trip is to visit the tree of Mia Fite. Mia was basically my big sister while we were in college. During my senior year in 2012 she committed suicide. While it is not necessary to go into details about that, she was in fact a very sane and composed individual. She never did drugs, was a vegan, and basically lived a straight-edge lifestyle. It has been 4 years to this month in which she left the world. It is also the first time in 4 years that I will be able to pay my respects at the tree planted for her on the college campus on the day she passed away.

As you can tell this trip will be pretty jam packed with a lot going on for me. I will definitely blog about as much as I can of it. I will also be doing some behind the scenes videos/photos on Snapchat. If you would like to view those BTS moments, feel free to add me on Snapchat (@KenonThompson).
