#WeekendCoffeeShare: Recap of 2015

I know technically it is not the weekend, but I have not done a #WeekendCoffeeShare in a little while. I am also drinking a 4 cups of coffee right now, so this seems appropriate for the discussion... right?

I think back around this time in 2014 about the hopes and goals that I set for myself to achieve in 2015. The energy I had built in myself thinking "by any means necessary" would be the self-motivation I kept inside of my head. No this year was not all rainbows and unicorns for me, but it was everything that I wanted it to be.

Just to briefly summarize what is on my mind... I traveled to new cities/states around the country, met some new friends, had more fun than expected, created a ton of new ideas, and most importantly worked more. In the same token, I have also endured some pretty rough moments that are haunting to think about.

Last year I told myself that I will be self-employed for this year... and I am! That was the biggest goal (basically the only major one) I had for this year. I love the freedom that I have now (as a bit of a self-control freak).  No one stands in my way between when I want to work, when I want to travel, or both at the same time. However, I would be lying if I said that I don't miss the hustle and bustle of the restaurant life as a Chef. I do... but I am not going back! At least for the foreseeable future.

In less than 48 hours, it will be a new year and we will all have to adjust writing 2016 instead of 2015 on everything. I honestly don't know if I want to say I have any New Year's Resolutions yet, or simply label them all as goals.

I'll let you know tomorrow on New Year's Eve when my mind is completely made up. Now go drink some coffee and enjoy the rest of your day/night no matter where you are in the world!
