The Importance of Resident Evil 0 Remastered

There are some games that you just have to put your heart and soul into. Resident Evil is the first series that I played as if I was being paid to. Remind you, I was still a kid when the series first began for me back in 1998, however, that didn’t matter.

I never willingly played Resident Evil during the daytime because it did not feel right. It was basically a ritual so to speak to be quite honest. The volume needed to be at maximum level as if my room was equipped with surround sound speakers. My big bowl of assorted Skittles, Reese’s Cups, and gummy bears on my left. Water bottle filled with soda, kool-aid, and on the rare occasion water. In the middle laid my food – typically hot wings and/or frozen pizza or pizza rolls. None of that has changed at all, except that my pizza’s are rarely frozen!

Nearly 18 years later, and I will soon be able to relive those moments, yet again (adding a glass of whiskey on the side). Resident Evil 0 is one of many games being remastered to with modern upgrades. Re-visiting Raccoon City with Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen to figure out what the heck is going on will be the mission.

The remastered version will be released on PC January 19th, 2016. If you would like to pre-order it on Steam, you can do so here for $19.99. Once I am setup in my room and set up just like the good old days, I will be locked into my room being an 8 year old me again.
